There is absolutely no truth to the rumour that after practice at the National Sports Centre in Blanchardstown on 9 January that we went to a local playground! We have no idea where you got that notion!
The Middle Room have had great fun lately making and doing in their arts and crafts lessons. So with all those toilet roll inserts they saved and long sticks got from the garden, you can see below what they created. The children came together in groups and had great fun with extra long paint brushes!
The Middle Room had a great morning at Navan library, learning all about the life and work of a book illustrator. This was a very interesting and creative workshop, held by Meath County Library for Book Week, October 2017.
Our active Parents’ Association held a fun family afternoon for all children and their families at Dunsany Clubhouse on 17 December 2017. Good food and fun was enjoyed by all in attendance. Thank you PA and thank you Santa!
This year’s Christmas production was the brainchild of the Senior Room. There was a bit of everything in there – the 12 days of Christmas, the Grinch, Mr & Mrs Claus, gingerbread men, pine trees, all-sorts of angels – naughty & nice -, juicy holly berries and children through the ages, a little drummer boy, little stars, shepherds, children at play, etc… And of course rappers, ‘coz no Christmas Play is complete without the rappers!
Parents and grandparents enjoyed the variety of poems, raps, songs and good humour which the children put on display that night. All wrapped up in a lovely theme – ‘Where is Christmas?’
Winter 2017 brought very little snow but the pupils of Dunsany NS were determined to make the most of what little they had. Here they are enjoying a break from practising for their ‘Cruinniú na Nollag’, which will be held on Wednesday 20th @ 7pm.
