Kris Kindle Make-a-card Project Christmas 2017
For Christmas 2017, each pupil and staff member had the task of making a card for another in the school. On 22 December at Presentation Morning we held a card-sharing session – believe it or not it all worked out well in the end! Everyone got a unique, hand-made card from their secret- Santa partner.
Our active Parents’ Association held a fun family afternoon for all children and their families at Dunsany Clubhouse on 17 December 2017. Good food and fun was enjoyed by all in attendance. Thank you PA and thank you Santa!
This year’s Christmas production was the brainchild of the Senior Room. There was a bit of everything in there – the 12 days of Christmas, the Grinch, Mr & Mrs Claus, gingerbread men, pine trees, all-sorts of angels – naughty & nice -, juicy holly berries and children through the ages, a little drummer boy, little stars, shepherds, children at play, etc… And of course rappers, ‘coz no Christmas Play is complete without the rappers!
Parents and grandparents enjoyed the variety of poems, raps, songs and good humour which the children put on display that night. All wrapped up in a lovely theme – ‘Where is Christmas?’
For Christmas 2016, we made the decision to put on a play involving all 79 pupils! The Magical Christmas Jigsaw was a big undertaking, which saw all pupils co-operate with each other to stage this enjoyable musical which tells the story of the nativity in a novel and interesting way. Well done all!
