celebrate soccer_boy_girl_clipart trophy

The Big Match screening took place  Friday 22 November @ 1.30pm. Parents were invited to come along and watch the dvd of our recent Cumann na mBunscol win. Mr Donnelly organised a little celebration for all present. The afternoon will ended with the presentation of the medals to the team members. ‘Betty’ attend the screening. [Betty is the nickname the boys have given the perpetual cup they won. Mrs Bockett reckons that if they fondle and rub it any more, they’ll wear off the names of all the previous winners!!]

What a win for Dunsany, the 20 year wait was worth it…..

Today was a great day of celebration for  all involved with Dunsany N.S.  The venue was  Páirc Tailteann, Navan, at 10.30am for the Cumann na mBunscol final against Scoil Naoimh Pio, Knockcommon.  This 20 minute aside game was full of energy and team playing on behalf of all the pupils involved.  There was plenty of sharing and passing along with goals, points, and saves that eventually led to  a score of 5   14   to  3   5  with a  well deserved win for Dunsany.  We are so proud of all the boys and girls who participated in this game and also to all the people who came out in great numbers to support the school with flags and banners and good wishes.  We would like to thank Mr Donnelly, James Farrell and Jimmy Maguire on a great result and for all the effort and time they have given to the boys and girls in training and going to matches.  Congratulations and well done to all the boys and girls involved. (Check out the Hogan Stand website for a great report on the final.)

Strictly Come Dancing

530-strictly-come-dancing

Well done to Mrs.Yvonne Behan and Mr. Tommy Brennan on taking part in Dunsany Kilmessan Strictly Come Dancing in aid of Dunsany Kilmessan GFC, on Sunday November 17th.  They did a beautiful waltz in which Tommy serenaded Yvonne.  They were magical and did us proud.  We were delighted to see so many people turn out for this event.  We would like to thank all who sponsored Yvonne from school.  Congratulations to the winners Arlene Flynn and Michelle Horan who danced the charleston and did so very well.  A great night was had by all.
