In our last week of school in June 2017, the Senior Room took on to complete a class project on Francis Ledwidge to mark the 100th anniversary since his death. We had been requested by the Ledwidge100 organising committee to complete and submit this project which was displayed at the commemorative cycle from Slane to Dunsany which took place in July. Two of our pupils Matthew Moan & Jesse Agnew presented the project at this historical event.
It wasn’t our first attempt at a class history project, having submitted a project on WW 1 to the Dept. of Education Centenary History Project in 2014.
