In our first term this year, well-known sports journalist Cathal Dervan visited the Senior Room and gave a very interesting talk on the varied work that being a sports journalist entails. We got to ask him many questions about his exciting career and all those famous sports people he has met and interviewed. His two sporting heroes are Pele & Mohammad Ali – who wouldn’t agree with those! David Beckham is the most famous sports person he has ever interviewed. Cathal thinks Katie Taylor is amazing.
